Standard construction and performance options for our cleanroom pass-through chambers (pass boxes). Figures below are typical, configurable ranges — final dimensions, interlock type and filtration are built to suit your room grade and opening size. Share your wall thickness and transfer requirements and we will confirm an exact specification.
| Chamber type | Static (mechanical) or Dynamic (HEPA-filtered) pass box; wall-mounted or floor-standing cart type |
| Construction | Double-wall, fully welded cabinet — typical wall thickness options 1.0–1.2 mm sheet over a rigid frame |
| Interior / exterior material | Stainless steel SS 304 standard; SS 316 / 316L option for corrosive or aseptic environments |
| Surface finish | Hairline / brushed (No.4) or matte bead-blasted interior; typical roughness in the Ra ≤ 0.8 µm range on request |
| Internal corners | Fully coved, radiused internal corners — lipless, crevice-free for easy wipe-down |
| Door / viewing panel | Hinged glazed door with safety/tempered glass and flush silicone or EPDM seal |
| Interlock system | Mechanical interlock standard; electromagnetic (electronic) interlock optional, with override and indicator lights |
| Sealing & gaskets | EPDM / silicone gaskets on both doors to support room pressure differentials and limit cross-contamination |
| Internal chamber sizes | Common openings approx. 450 × 450 × 450 mm to 800 × 800 × 800 mm; custom and cart sizes built to order |
| HEPA filtration (dynamic units) | H13/H14 HEPA filter with motor-blower, designed to deliver ISO 5 / Grade A air to the transferred surfaces |
| Air change / airflow (dynamic units) | High-frequency recirculating airflow over the chamber; configured to the chamber volume |
| Disinfection options | Optional germicidal UV-C lamp with interlocked timer for a kill step between transfers |
| Cleanliness suitability | Designed to suit ISO 14644 Class 5–8 and EU-GMP Grade A–D transfer points (per configuration) |
| Cleaning compatibility | Surfaces compatible with standard cleanroom disinfectants, IPA and vaporised hydrogen peroxide (VHP) regimes |
| Electrical (dynamic / UV units) | 220–240 V / 50 Hz single phase typical; CE-style components available on request |
| Mounting / integration | Designed to integrate flush with 50, 75 or 100 mm cleanroom wall panels; flange/trim to suit partition |
Two decisions drive most pass box specifications: whether you need a simple sealed (static) box or an active HEPA-filtered (dynamic) one, and whether a mechanical or electromagnetic interlock suits your workflow. The table below compares them across the aspects buyers usually weigh.
| Aspect | Static / Mechanical interlock | Dynamic (HEPA) / Electromagnetic interlock |
|---|---|---|
| Primary purpose | Sealed transfer between rooms of similar cleanliness; maintains pressure separation | Decontaminates item surfaces with filtered airflow before entry to a higher-grade or aseptic zone |
| Air handling | No fan or filter — a passive sealed cabinet | Motor-blower with H13/H14 HEPA, delivering ISO 5 / Grade A air over the goods |
| Typical cleanliness fit | ISO 7–8 / EU-GMP Grade C–D transfer points | ISO 5–6 / EU-GMP Grade A–B and sterile transfers |
| Interlock mechanism | Mechanical: simple rod/cam linkage, no power needed, very reliable | Electromagnetic: powered locks with indicator lights, timers and override; integrates with BMS |
| Power requirement | None for the box itself (UV lamp optional) | Requires power for blower, electronic interlock and optional UV |
| Relative cost & maintenance | Lower cost; minimal maintenance, no filter changes | Higher cost; periodic HEPA replacement and filter integrity checks |
| Best suited to | General material transfer, packaging, non-critical workflows | Aseptic manufacturing, high-risk transfers, and where timed/visual door control is required |

Yes. Pak Gusu manufactures static and dynamic pass boxes in Lahore, Pakistan and supplies them to all six GCC countries — Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman — on CIF or DAP terms via Jebel Ali, Dammam and Hamad ports, with interlocks, UV options and HEPA-purged (dynamic) versions. We have no local Gulf office; installation supervision is available at extra cost.
Yes. Pak Gusu manufactures static, dynamic and cart-type pass boxes and exports them across the Gulf, shipping CIF or DAP to ports such as Jebel Ali, King Abdul Aziz Port Dammam and Hamad Port. On-site installation and supervision can be arranged at extra cost for your fit-out team.
A static pass box is a sealed cabinet with interlocked doors for transfers between similar-grade rooms. A dynamic pass box adds HEPA filtration and airflow to decontaminate items entering higher-grade or aseptic areas. Pak Gusu supplies both for GCC pharmaceutical and healthcare facilities, with optional UV lamps for high-risk transfers.
Yes. Pak Gusu pass boxes are designed to comply with EU-GMP Annex 1 and ISO 14644 requirements applied across GCC projects. Interlocked doors, radiused corners and HEPA-filtered airflow protect pressure cascades and reduce cross-contamination, making units validation-ready for SFDA, MOHAP or MoPH facility submissions.
Specify SS 304 for general transfers or SS 316 for corrosive, pharmaceutical and aseptic environments. Both give smooth, easily cleaned surfaces suited to the GCC's demanding GMP regimes. Pak Gusu fabricates chambers with radiused corners and lipless interiors in SS 304 or SS 316, compatible with VHP and aggressive cleaning agents.
Static pass boxes need no HEPA filter, but dynamic units use HEPA filtration, typically H14, to clean material surfaces before entry into Grade A/B or ISO 5 zones. Pak Gusu supplies HEPA dynamic pass boxes with optional UV disinfection for sterile and high-risk applications across UAE, Saudi and Qatar facilities.
Contact Pak Gusu at info@pakgusu.com with your dimensions, grade and interlock preferences.
